MGMT 260 - Applied Strategic Management (Capstone) Strategic decisions at these levels consider all aspects of the organization, both internal and external. These decisions are being made in a complex environment of economic, social, environmental, political, and legal forces, all affecting the total enterprise. They also occur with pressures of competition from other organizations operating in the same industry. This capstone course links and further develops the knowledge and skills learned in previous courses on specific functional areas such as accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, and operations management. The course introduces students to the concepts and tools used in strategic management. Case studies and current events are used to learn how to apply those concepts to managing organizations.
This course is the capstone course for all Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Business Administration, and Marketing majors.
Prerequisites: School of Business Majors Only (Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Business Economics, Finance, and Marketing); Seniors only.
