FIN 241 - Investment Management


The goal of the course is to help students develop a framework from which to think about and analyze financial investment decisions. Topics include: investor utility, risk and return, diversification, asset-pricing models, market efficiency, security valuation, portfolio management, investment performance measurement, and ethics in investment management. We will focus primarily on the practical application of these topics, including managing portfolios based on client needs, while covering enough theory to explain and support those applications.

Prerequisites: FIN142, MGMT110
