MSPM 3850 - Project Leadership and Organization


This course prepares students to lead projects effectively across diverse environments by integrating project management leadership practices. Students will examine how leadership approaches can shape project outcomes and apply PMI’s Ways of Working across predictive, Agile, and hybrid methodologies. Emphasis is placed on leading teams through different lifecycle approaches, applying leadership frameworks to ensure delivery value, alignment with strategy, and communication strategies that sustain engagement. Students will learn to build team resilience, resolve conflict, and foster collaboration, while applying systems thinking and critical decision-making to manage complexity and deliver value. Through case studies, interactive exercises, and reflective practice, students will strengthen their ability to lead projects and teams with agility, engage stakeholders effectively, and deliver outcomes that contribute to project success.
