MSAI 3135 - Image Processing


This course covers the fundamental techniques and practical applications of image processing, focusing on manipulating and analyzing visual data. Students will learn key
methods such as image filtering, edge detection, segmentation, and color processing.  The course emphasizes hands-on implementation using Python and libraries such as
OpenCV and PIL. Real-world applications of image processing in domains such as medical imaging, photography, and video processing will be explored. Ethical
considerations of image manipulation, particularly in areas like media and surveillance, will also be discussed

Prerequisites: MSDA 3050 - Applied Machine Learning
