GEOG 365 - Graduate Seminar in Economic Geography PART II

Following GEOG 364, in this seminar we review contemporary debates in economic geography. Readings will include contemporary theoretical debates and emerging themes on the geographic manifestations of economic change and development around the world. We will examine major conceptual frameworks and key assumptions underlining the logics of industrial location, evolutions of agglomeration/cluster formations, dynamics of regional growth/decline, as well as relevant theories of the firm, innovation, institutions, trade, and the state in economic geography.
