MGMT 5512 - Green Supply Chain Management

Increasingly, organizations are actively managing their own supply chains as a key area of their environmental impact, and are also being engaged through client organization’s supply chain initiatives. The significance of emissions and natural resource use in an organization’s supply chain is often several times greater than the organization’s own operations. Therefore, the supply chains of organizations provide significant opportunities as a source of improved efficiency and cost savings. This course will investigate the evolution of Green Supply Chain initiatives, types of analysis including Economic Input-Output Life Cycle Assessment (EIO-LCA), and methods for managing the demands of green supply chain assessments from both the supplier and purchasing organization perspective.
