BCMB 344 - Bioanalytical Chemistry

Type of Course: Lecture, Laboratory
The primary objective of this course is to introduce both theoretical and practical aspects of several current techniques, including metaolomics/synthetic biology, mass spectrometry, gas and liquid chromatography, protein chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, spectroscopy and other selected topics, in the biological systems.  The laboratory component of the coure will be devoted to carrying out research project on metobolomics and transcriptomics using chromatography/mass spectrometry, enzyme activity assays, and gene expression analyses.
