Overview
Students will find that the University’s combined B.A./Master’s programs allow them to accelerate their studies, deepen their knowledge of a particular field, and enhance their credentials for the job market. Furthermore, to encourage such accelerated study, students meeting eligibility requirements are eligible for a full-tuition scholarship (50% scholarship for transfer students) during their fifth year.
Clark University’s remarkable Accelerated B.A./Master’s Degree Program (with the fifth year tuition free) allows eligible students to earn a master’s degree for the same price as a bachelor’s degree or at a substantially reduced price. The program has received national and international attention through such media as CNN, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
This guide provides information about each of the programs, university and departmental requirements, application procedures, and tuition fellowships. First-year students should speak with their academic advisor about the available programs. Second- or third-year students should speak with their faculty advisor and the Accelerated B.A./Master’s Degree Program advisor for the graduate program to which they plan to apply.
Questions pertaining to eligibility and undergraduate aspects (e.g. Application: Part 1, GPA requirements, study abroad) should be directed to the ACADEMIC ADVISING CENTER, Corner House, (508) 793-7468. Questions from Accelerated Degree students who are enrolled as graduate students or students who have completed the Application: Part 2 should be directed to Denise Robertson, Graduate School Coordinator (drobertson@clarku.edu or (508) 793-7676).
