Overview
Offered through Clark’s International Deveopment, Community and Environment Department (IDCE), the Certificate in Global and Community Health helps you take on some of the biggest public health challenges facing humanity by working with communities right here in Worcester or across the globe. You engage in thoughtful, critical analysis of domestic and international health policy in order to prepare for - or enhance - a health career in the United States and abroad.
Global and Community Health Certificate Requirements
The Global and Community Health certificate requires six units total. Students can choose to focus on global health or community health, and will select the Policy and Programs track or the Quantitative Analysis track. The Policy and Programs track engages with critical social science perspectives and applies them to a variety of health and development issues. Competencies gained in this track will prepare students to serve as project managers, policy analysts, program directors, etc. in the large arena of global health and development, or public health and community development. The Quantitative Analysis track is designed for students who seek greater competencies in managing and analyzing quantitative data sets related to developing, managing, and evaluating global and domestic health interventions, policies, programs, etc.
