Graduate Certificate in Human Services Management

Clark University, in partnership with the Massachusetts Providers Council, now offers a certificate in community human services management (CCHSM). This program is offered in the daytime on the Clark University campus one day a week for an entire academic year, and consists of five education blocks that include courses in a survey of human services management; legal issues for nonprofits; human resources management; applied economics; financial management; entrepreneurship; fundraising, event planning and grant writing; and program evaluation. These courses are oriented toward leadership training and provide career growth opportunities. The cohort system introduces middle-managers to others in similar positions, providing a network of support in community-based human services. Graduates from this program may transfer four credits into the MPA program if they are matriculated into the MPA program.
