FREN 120 - Ways of Writing and Speaking


This course is an introduction to advanced levels of French and exposes students to some of the areas of study they will find in the French and Francophone Studies program. The course seeks to develop students’ writing and speaking skills through assigned readings, discussion in class, and writing assignments targeting various styles and registers. Typical theme units include notions of culture and the everyday; poetry and song; news and the media; film and comics.



 

Prerequisites: FREN 106   or equivalent, or permission.
