MUSC 129 - Introduction to Composition

Introduction to Composition provides students with the foundational skills necessary to compose music in any genre or aesthetic. The course focuses on acoustic music but electronic music can be considered as well. Projects include composing for solo instruments, composing for instruments in various combinations, composing for voice, and a unit on orchestration.

Prerequisites: MUSC 098 or 141 or 121 or permission by the instructor
