BIOL 199 - Introduction to Biological Research

This course is designed for students seeking an introduction to biological research.  Working with a faculty mentor in Biology, students participate in an ongoing research project and group meetings.  This course is encouraged, but not required, prior to enrolling in directed study (BIOL 299) or honors (BIOL 297).  Students are required to contact faculty members to receive permission to enroll in this course.  The course is non-graded and may be taken for a quarter credit or half credit.  This course may be repeated for credit. 

Prerequisites: BIOL 101  or BIOL 102  or AP credit in Biology and instructor’s permission
