BIOL 060 - Natural History of New England


Natural History of New England is an introductory-level course that is appropriate for students from many majors. This course is a project-based, interdisciplinary science course with a lab component that focuses on the biological systems of the New England region. Students will gain an understanding and working knowledge of the geological forces, climate patterns, and land use practices that have shaped the landscape and influence the biological communities (flora and fauna) existing in this ecologically diverse region.
