PSCI 274 - The Supreme Court in American Society

Examines various aspects of the role that the Supreme Court of the United States plays in our system of government and in our broader social order. Examines various topics, such as the role of the Court in producing social change, the jurisprudence of individual justices, and recent trends in the Court’s decisions on federalism, administrative law and statutory interpretation. Also explores the aftermath of the Court’s decision in Bush v. Gore.
