PSYC 142 - Sensation and Perception

Sensation, perception and cognition work together to give us meaningful information about the world. This course examines how information is picked up from the environment and then coded, transformed and integrated by the sensory systems with special emphasis on vision. Topics include basic visual and auditory functions, vision abnormalities and deafness, taste, touch and pain, and how babies perceive the world.
