PSCI 158 - African American Politics


This course will focus on how the African American community’s struggle for full integration and empowerment in various spheres of American life has influenced the past and current American political environment. We will highlight African Americans as actors and initiators in the political process by examining the evolution, nature, and role of African American politics within the American Political System. In order to facilitate this process we will discuss in detail the responses of the decision makers, as well as the inputs and outputs of these decision makers in terms of the political process to analyze their failures and successes.
