Overview
As new programs and policies emerge in the municipal sector, it is imperative that aspiring employees stay well informed about new trends, issues and challenges within their fields of expertise. Clark’s School of Professional Studies Public Administration Certificate program is designed for municipal employees of all levels, to improve their current work status, or position them for the next level of career advancement. The Public Administration certificate allows employees to gain additional knowledge, skills and expertise ready to be applied in the municipal sector.
Public Administration Certificate Requirements
The School of Professional Studies Public Administration Certificate Program consists of six management focused courses. The six certificate courses below are listed in order of general recommended sequence. Participants who feel they have extensive professional experience in any of the required core courses may petition for Prior Learning Credit. Those who feel they may qualify for such a credit should consult with the MPA Program Lead.

Prior Learning Credit
We recognize the valuable experience and perspectives working professionals bring to the classroom. If you are a student with three or more years in a professional position, you can work with your academic advisor to be considered for the Prior Learning Credit. There is an administrative fee associated with the Prior Learning Credit.
