Departmental Eligibility Requirements
The accelerated Bachelor of Arts/Master of Science in Marketing program is open to students in all majors.
Two prerequisite courses are required. Prospective MSMK students must complete MKT 230 AND QBUS 110 or ECON 160 or PSYC 105 with a grade of B+ or higher by the end of the second semester of their junior year.
A minimum cumulative sophomore/junior year GPA of a 3.6 will be required for eligibility in the BA/MSMK program. A senior year cumulative GPA of a 3.6, including both undergraduate and graduate courses, will be required to remain eligible for the 5th year.
Students admitted into this program are eligible for up to 50% tuition remission in the 5th year. Tuition remission eligibility will be communicated to students with their admission decision.
Program of Study
The MSMK requires 10 units of graduate coursework. Students will be required to take 2 graduate course units in their senior year, and can choose to take a third. Students must complete MKT 4400 Marketing Management and MKT 5488 Digital and Social Media Marketing during their senior year. Students can also take STAT 4300 in their senior year for a third graduate course.

The BA/MSMK program requires a graduate level internship for all accelerated degree students. This internship must be completed as part of the MSMK program and by the time a student completes the degree requirements. Internships completed at the undergraduate level do not meet this requirement. No academic credit is awarded for the internship.
This program is only eligible for up to a 50% tuition remission rate for a student’s fifth year of study.
Students will pay a one-time program fee of $1,000 in the first semester of graduate study. Students also pay a $40 activity fee in the fall and spring semesters of their graduate studies, as well as a one-time enrollment fee of $100.
Students are responsible for paying for housing, food, books, health insurance, and other personal items.
Students are required to meet with the designated degree adviser prior to applying to the program.
