Overview
In the Clark School of Business Master’s in Finance program, you integrate an understanding of the complexities of management with strong finance and quantitative skills. The degree benefits you no matter where you are in your career and prepares you for positions in banking, investment management, trading, insurance and corporate finance. The MSF program is a rigorous curriculum focusing on the skills and knowledge required to apply advanced financial theories to complex financial management problems.
Departmental eligibility requirements
The accelerated Bachelor of Arts/Master of Science in Finance program is open to students in all majors.
Three prerequisite courses are required. Students must complete:
Economics - ECON 010
Statistics - QBUS 110 OR ECON 160 OR PSYC 105
Calculus - MATH 120 or MATH 124
Prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or higher by the end of the second semester of their junior year. Advanced Placement credit for a prerequisite course will be accepted.
A minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.4 is required for eligibility to this program.
For ALL CUSB Accelerated Degree Applicants
As part of the application process, all applicants to the accelerated degree program must meet with both the CUSB Assistant Dean, Laura Burgess, and the Associate Director of the CUSB Stevenish Career Management Center, Kelly Kochis, before the accelerated degree adviser form will be signed and approved by the School of Business These meetings need to take place before the accelerated degree application deadline.
Program of Study
The Accelerated BA/MSF program requires 10 graduate course units and an internship. Two courses are taken in the senior year and the remaining in the graduate year.

The full time accelerated BA/MSF program requires a graduate level internship for all accelerated degree students. This internship must be completed as part of the MSF program and by the time a student completes the degree requirements. Internships completed at the undergraduate level do not meet this requirement. No academic credit is awarded for the internship.
Fees
This program is eligible for a 100% tuition remission in a student’s graduate year if the student meets all accelerated degree requirements. All accelerated degree students will be responsible for fees during their graduate year of study.
